If you are an RCN Internet customer, you must have access to an email account in the RCN domain. While you can access this email account through a web browser, you can also set up the account to receive or send email in programs such as Microsoft Outlook or on devices such as the iPhone.
The iPhone has special settings for email accounts from providers such as Gmail and Yahoo, but no special settings for RCN accounts. However, an RCN email account can still be easily set up on an iPhone, so continue reading below and follow our guide to setting up an RCN email for an iPhone 6 or any other iOS 8 device.
Setting up RCN email in iOS 8
The steps in this article were completed on an iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 8. However, these steps will work on other iOS 8 devices as well as iOS 7 devices. You can set up multiple email accounts on your iPhone. at the same time, so even if you initially set up your device with a different account, you will be able to add an RCN account without any problems.
Step 1: Tap the “Settings” icon.
Step 2: Scroll down and select the Mail, Contacts, Calendars option.
Step 3: Click the “Add Account” button.
Step 4: Select the “Other” option.
Step 5: Click the “Add Mail Account” button.
Step 6: Enter your name in the “Name” field, your RCN email address in the “Email” field, and a password in the “Password” field, then click the “Next” button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Your iPhone will verify your account details, then you can access your RCN email from the Mail app on your device.
